Every day, manufacturers of portable computers outdo each other in products on the market in excess of the competition in terms of efficiency, operating time on battery, and appearance. Noteworthy, however, is that the touchpad on UX30 model supports multitouch. To sum up our experience of working on a laptop Asus UX30 we stress once again a very aesthetic and careful execution of the computer casing, good quality keyboard and touchpad, and of course XpressGate system, which raises the laptop convenience to the next level. Unfortunately, in order to maintain low weight and size of the notebook we have to accept some compromises in the form of a weaker processor and a lack of optical drive. It is also a short battery life - 4.5 hours is a bit too little as the mobile computer in its class.
